But now you can get this sweet treat from Aldi — and they are just as good at a fraction of the price.

Cheaper Than Starbucks

Instagram user @ohheyaldi (run by a woman named Ashley) shared photos of the new chocolate and vanilla cake pops at her local Aldi store in Bloomington, Illinois. “Have your cake and your pop too 😉 🍰,” @ohheyaldi captioned the post.

The cake pops are made from the Bake Shop Bakery and come in four packs (!!) for just $4.49. That’s only a little over a dollar for each cake pop, compared to $2.95 for one at Starbucks. They also look delicious! The vanilla are dipped in white icing with colorful sprinkles and the chocolate are dipped in chocolate icing with colorful sprinkles.

Shoppers and (more importantly) their kids recommend these treats. “My boys LOVED these!” one person wrote.

“These are so good! 👏👏” someone else commented.

Themed Goodies

Aldi is home to the best snacks. They recently dropped several St. Patrick’s Day-themed goodies, including Irish Coffee-flavored truffles, Clancy’s Lucky Crunch Snack Mix, and a Minty Shamrock mix to make your own version of McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes at home. Yum!

With Easter coming up at the end of the month, you can also grab several bunny- and egg-themed sweets here. These include Whoppers’ Robin Eggs, Cadbury Crème Eggs, Ferrero Rocher Easter Bunny chocolates, and Creamy Peanut Butter Filled Choceur Chocolate Bunnies. We’re getting a sugar rush just thinking about it!

Costco's New Internationally-Inspired Meal Is Perfect for Busy Weeknights https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2968185/costco-new-deli-meal/ https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2968185/costco-new-deli-meal/#respond Thu, 29 Feb 2024 18:42:22 +0000 https://www.sheknows.com/?p=2968185 If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, SheKnows may receive an affiliate commission.

Costco members know that when it’s time to come up with a week’s worth of dinners, Costco has you covered. But there’s more to Costco’s last-minute meal selection than rotisserie chicken and food court pizza. If you head over to the Costco deli service area, you can find pre-made dinners and easy meal kits that get food on the table in minutes on those hectic weeknights, and the newest Costco meal is a must-try. If you’re looking for a last-minute dinner from Costco, the new Udon Noodle Salad kit could be just the thing your fridge is missing.

Costco announced on Instagram that “The new Udon Noodle Salad kit is coming to your local Costco Service Deli.” The video shows that the new item comes in a container that’s filled with cooked udon noodles and a shredded rainbow cabbage slaw. Those two items are combined, and then get tossed with the included packets of dressing, and are garnished with the included roasted peanuts and some lime wedges.

The salad promises to be bright and fresh, thanks to the crunchy slaw and citrusy limes, but also seriously satisfying, with a nice chew from the udon noodles and a protein-filled crunch thanks to the peanuts. Costco confirmed to Instagram commenters that the salad is vegetarian (though not vegan).

We can totally see enjoying this item on its own as a quick dinner, or portioning it out into a couple of containers for lunches. You could also use it as a meal starter, and boost the protein content by adding baked or fried tofu, grilled chicken, marinated steak, roasted shrimp, or even a few hard boiled eggs.

The next time you’re shopping at Costco, check out the deli section for the new Udon Noodle Salad kit and other fast and easy prepared meals, like their Chicken Alfredo, Street Taco Kits, and Heat-and-Eat Gyro Kits. Costco members (sign up here) know that this is the secret to always having a quick dinner on hand.

Trader Joe's Shoppers Can't Stop Raving About the Store's New $4 Sweet Treat https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2966064/trader-joes-hold-the-cone-tips/ https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2966064/trader-joes-hold-the-cone-tips/#respond Tue, 27 Feb 2024 22:04:44 +0000 https://www.sheknows.com/?p=2966064 If you are a lover of ice cream then you know what Trader Joe’s “Hold the Cone! Mini Ice Cream Cones” are. They are a fan-favorite snack with their chocolate cones and perfectly sweet ice cream. But Trader Joe’s could not stop themselves from creating its sister snack, Hold the Cone Tips, and shoppers can’t get enough. They are like ice cream cones but instead are more like cookies that you can take on the go. So, whether you’re going to work or a movie night with friends, this is the snack to bring. The best part? There’s no refrigeration required so you don’t have to worry about your food melting.

The new Trader Joe’s snack recently made its way to social media, and fans cannot stop raving about this new twist to the fan-favorite classic. One commenter expressed their excitement on Trader Joe’s Obsessed’s Instagram post writing, “I just tried these too! Delish! Eating the entire bag would be too easy!”.  This snack is delightful enough on its own, but it pairs wonderfully with a variety of desserts, including ice cream, brownies, and cake. Another Hold the Cone Tip fan said “Just got them today 10/10 so bomb”.

People literally can not get enough of them not only because they are overwhelmingly yummy but because they’ll only set you back $4. They’re simple— just comprised of a crispy waffle cone and a dark chocolate filling. As you bite into it, you’ll see that the “conical nugget” is undoubtedly the best part, followed by a delightful filling of dark chocolate. If you are someone with a sweet tooth this will surely satisfy your cravings.

Next time you are at Trader Joe’s, head over to the snack aisle and buy yourself one or even two of these. You’ll likely adore them just as much as I do, and you will understand why they’re so popular among snackers online. At only $4, they’re a tasty and inexpensive treat.

Aldi Is Dropping the Tastiest St. Patrick's Day Treats — These Are the Must-Try Items https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2966048/aldi-st-patricks-day-treats/ https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2966048/aldi-st-patricks-day-treats/#respond Tue, 27 Feb 2024 14:42:07 +0000 https://www.sheknows.com/?p=2966048 Feeling lucky? If so, swing by your local Aldi tomorrow, February 28, because there will be so many fun St. Patrick’s Day finds in stock for you to shop. But like leprechauns, these food items are elusive, so you need to catch them before they disappear!

The first must-try item is The Frozen Bean Minty Shamrock Frappe Mix. You get three individually packaged frappe mixtures that you can add to your own dairy or non-dairy base to make your own McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes at home. Each box is just $4.99.

To keep your sweet tooth satisfied, you also have to check out Clancy’s Lucky Crunch Snack Mix, which is a jumble of chocolate-covered pretzels and candy-coated popcorn that is ideal for munching on while watching movies. And for a little after-dinner treat, check out Moser Roth’s St. Patrick’s Day Truffles that come in four flavors: Irish Coffee, Chocolate Cream, Salted Caramel, and Vanilla.

In fact, you can check out all of Aldi’s St. Patrick’s Day offerings thanks to the Aldi Made Me Do It TikTok walk-through. This week you can also pick up three different Irish cheese rounds, Irish butter, St. Patrick’s Day whipped cream and ice cream flavors, and even a special edition Lucky Charms cereal that turns your milk green.

There are also a handful of non-holiday goodies available for purchase this week, too. But why go basic when you can be on theme with your grocery shopping?

All of these fun St. Patrick’s Day food finds (as well as some adorable St. Paddy’s decor — yes, including gnomes!) will all be available for purchase starting tomorrow, February 28. So start your engines, go into your local Aldi with a game plan, and prepare to take home the gold (or maybe, the green?).

Costco's Bakery Just Dropped a New Bread That Shoppers Say Is the 'Lightest & Fluffiest' https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2966035/costco-multigrain-bread/ https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2966035/costco-multigrain-bread/#respond Tue, 27 Feb 2024 14:24:21 +0000 https://www.sheknows.com/?p=2966035 If you can’t live your life without bread (apologies in advance to all you gluten-free folks), then you need to hit your local Costco ASAP. The Costco bakery at several locations nationwide just rolled out a new super-fluffy multigrain bread recipe and you can get two huge loaves for just $7.99.

“The Costco bakery just brought out the lightest and fluffiest multigrain bread,” Laura from the Costco Hot Finds Instagram account shared in a recent video. “It’s made with oats, golden flax seeds, and sesame and sunflower seeds. I love it. This bread is so soft in the center.”

The two-pack is great because you can slice one up and eat it one week and freeze the other loaf for next week! Freezing will also help these loaves last longer because they’re free from preservatives, unlike the packaged bread you find at your grocery store.

“It is my favorite!!” one Costco shopper wrote in the comments, adding, “It’s been years since they have had it.”

Another person added, “Delicioso. Especially with soups.” And someone else wrote, “My favorite bread — honestly is the best.”

Some shoppers even say that their Costco carries this bread all year round (lucky!), and it’s best used for sandwiches for lunch, toast for breakfast, or even for French toast if you don’t mind using multigrain for your favorite French toast recipe.

Now that the word is out that Costco has some of the lightest and fluffiest bread you’ll ever eat, these loaves won’t last long on the bakery shelves. So stop by your local Costco as soon as you can to grab a couple loaves for yourself to taste just how good this recipe is.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with more awesome Costco bakery items seen in the gallery below.

The Stand Mixer Jennifer Garner 'Can't Live Without' Is on Sale at Target Today https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2965429/jennifer-garner-kitchenaid-stand-mixer/ https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2965429/jennifer-garner-kitchenaid-stand-mixer/#respond Mon, 26 Feb 2024 18:28:22 +0000 https://www.sheknows.com/?p=2965429 If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, SheKnows may receive an affiliate commission.

I like to think of my kitchen tools as investments, hopefully becoming pieces I will use for a lifetime. But big kitchen investments usually come with a big price tag so hearing that one of my favorite celebrities also loves the product, never hurts. Actress and foodie Jennifer Garner’s seal of approval goes a long way, especially considering one of her best cooking buddies is the culinary queen herself, Ina Garten. So when we heard Garner was dishing out the scoop on her favorite tools, we ran to see what the Pretend Cooking Show host recommends.

In a recent interview with Katie Couric Media, Garner was asked about the kitchen tool she “can’t live without” and we were thrilled to read that her response was none other than the famous Kitchenaid stand mixer. “100 percent it’s a stand mixer,” Garner told Katie Couric Media. Garner continued, “I use it many, many days a week. It is constantly in use at my house. My kids bake with it, I use it if I’m going to make chicken taquitos because it makes shredding chicken so easy. I put the cooked chicken breasts in the mixer with the paddle and go zhuzh, zhuzh, zhuzh, and then it’s perfectly pulled apart and ready to go.”

Jennifer Garner's Favorite Stand Mixer Is on Sale

KitchenAid 5.5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer

Ina Garten also uses KitchenAid stand mixers and even recommends them on her Barefoot Contessa website.

Garner didn’t specify exactly which KitchenAid stand mixer model she uses, but we did a little digging and found this one that’s currently marked down by over $100 at Target. Normally coming in at $450, the KitchenAid 5.5 quart lifted bowl is currently discounted by $130, bringing the price down to $320.

I’ve owned a KitchenAid stand mixer for almost ten years now and I can honestly say it works just as well as it did the day I bought it. My model doesn’t include the lifted bowl and I paid more than the current Target sale price so I highly recommend taking advantage of this deal before it’s gone.

Aldi Just Dropped the Cutest Vintage-Inspired Williams Sonoma Glassware Dupes for Just $10 https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2962927/aldi-williams-sonoma-vintage-glasses/ https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2962927/aldi-williams-sonoma-vintage-glasses/#respond Thu, 22 Feb 2024 18:38:44 +0000 https://www.sheknows.com/?p=2962927 If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, SheKnows may receive an affiliate commission.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but vintage is in right now. Everything from old-fashioned baby names to eclectic grandpa decor and fashion is trending and we can’t get enough of the nostalgic vibes. Brands are hopping on the trend by releasing vintage-inspired pieces, including these gorgeous art deco-style highball glasses we fell in love with from Williams Sonoma. The only problem? They’re $80 (for four). But fret not, because Aldi is here to save the day with their new Wiliams Sonoma glassware dupes.

Every week Aldi drops new Aldi Finds and they include everything from new food items to home decor. This week, Aldi released their ribbed glassware collection and I kid you not, it looks nearly identical to those fancy glasses from Williams Sonoma. For reference, let’s compare the two.

Williams Sonoma highball glasses

Williams Sonoma Highball Glasses

Yes, they’re stunning, but times are tough and we can’t all afford to drop $80 on four glasses right now.

Now let’s look at Aldi’s new glasses.

Aldi drinkware set

Crofton Ribbed Glassware

Can you spot the difference? I certainly can’t. I’d say those highball glasses are nearly identical.

Not only do they cost a fraction of the price, but we get a variety of styles to choose from at Aldi. For $10, you can buy a four-pack of these ribbed glasses in tumblers, highball, or lowball glasses. And if the clear is a little too boring for you, Aldi also sells the same sets in a stunning blue.

Doesn’t that rich color remind you of a Mediterranean vacation?

With spring just around the corner and outdoor entertaining fast approaching, why not take the chance to add a little bit of trendy vintage vibes to your glassware? For just $10, you really can’t go wrong with these beauties.

Costco Is Adding a New Food Court Menu Item & Shoppers Are Upset About It https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2960556/costco-new-food-court-item-backlash/ https://www.sheknows.com/food-and-recipes/articles/2960556/costco-new-food-court-item-backlash/#respond Mon, 19 Feb 2024 21:24:58 +0000 https://www.sheknows.com/?p=2960556 Costco isn’t just a place for amazing deals and one-of-a-kind products — they also serve some pretty fabulous food, too. The wholesale store is famous for their $1.50 hot dogs in the food court, which is stocked with other goodies as well. But despite their great reputation, their latest menu item is drawing backlash from unhappy shoppers.

Instagram users @costcodealsonline and @costcodeals shared a joint post with the new food court option, made by Kirkland Signature. The offering? A brown turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich on a ciabatta roll.

“📸: u/Gbcue 🚨New Food Court item coming soon!Turkey & Swiss Sandwich for $6.99. What do you think??” they captioned the post.

Unhappy Shoppers

Although the sandwich looks perfectly fine, topped with lettuce and sundried tomatoes and served with two different sauces, people were upset about it.

“$7…wtf? Might as well go to a real sandwich shop,” one person wrote. “They have fried chicken and poutine in Canada and we get this?” someone else complained.

“Looking mighty mid to me,” another person commented.

Other suggested other items Costco could bring back instead. “Good lord, all we want is the combo pizza & polish dog back 😭,” one person said. Another wrote, “We just want combo pizza back 😭.”

“What happened to the provolone pesto sandwich! What is this @costco?! Bring back good food! Combo pizza, polish sausage. Nobody asked for this! 😭🙄” someone else said.

Never-Buy Items

Costco
Omar Abascal/Unsplash

Most of the time, Costco sells products that people are obsessed with. But sometimes, even Costco misses with their products. In fact, many shoppers recently turned to Reddit to reveal the products they never buy from Costco, and the list was full of eye-opening items.

Shoppers avoided things like chicken breasts because it’s cheaper elsewhere; Peruvian avocados because they “never ripen”; and desserts because they are so “massive” (which isn’t always a bad problem to have!).

Whether you love Costco’s new turkey and Swiss, or you add it to the never-buy list, one thing’s for sure: Costco sure knows how to keep people engaged when it comes to their food selection!
